KIMERA RESTAURANT TO HOST SPECIAL OSCAR PARTY TO BENEFIT AMERICAN RED CROSS

IRVINE, Calif., February 12, 2010 – Kimera Restaurant is set to host its second annual Oscar Viewing Party on Sunday March 7, 2010. Following the success of last year’s event, this red carpet style party will feature a special silent auction, the proceeds of which will benefit the American Red Cross.

“Last year’s Oscar Party was full of the glitz, glamour and fun of a real Hollywood event, making this year’s event a must-attend for Orange County’s finest,” says Karyn Ghoukassian, owner of Kimera Restaurant.

Attendees are asked to dress in their Oscar best for this special viewing party being held at Kimera Restaurant in Irvine, Calif. Guests will receive the complete movie star treatment with a mock red carpet entrance complete with media interviews upon arrival to the restaurant. A panel of fashion experts will be present to award prizes in various categories, including the best dressed guest. The all-inclusive cost is $79 per person, with reservations made before March 1st, and $89 per person for reservations made thereafter. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. with admittance for ages 21 and over only. Guests will enjoy hors d'oeuvres, a buffet dinner, dessert, a champagne split and a special gift bag.

The silent auction, benefiting the American Red Cross, will feature an array of items, including round-trip airline tickets to Cancun furnished by Apple Vacations and a one-day loan of an automobile from Bentley Newport Beach. After the Oscar viewing, guests will be treated to a special Argentine Tango dance performance by Avant Garde Ballroom to keep the party going. This event is also being supported by Verizon Wireless, Apex Tent & Party, Equinox, Spa Gregorie’s, Yerevan Magazine, Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne, Grey Goose Vodka and Cointreau.

The Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross is one of Southern California’s leading nonprofit agencies. This humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, provides disaster relief response and an assortment of health and safety programs to the public.

Kimera Restaurant is part of the Dining As Art® restaurant collection. Kimera Restaurant’s new menu now offers a contemporary twist on “Modern American Comfort Food.” The restaurant is well known in the Orange County area for their extensive wine and beverage collection. The restaurant features a lounge bar that plays a cool mix of music nightly and features a DJ every Friday and Saturday, in addition to a fully enclosed and heated bar patio, a dining room patio, a cigar patio and an upper level dining room for special events. Kimera is open for lunch Monday through Friday, dinner Monday through Saturday and offers complimentary valet parking.
