RIVERSIDE, Calif. (March 11, 2009) — Loma Linda University Health Care has opened its new state-of-the-art ophthalmology center in the Medical Park at Riverwalk in Riverside, Calif. The Riverside Regional Pain Center, which offers cutting edge interventional pain management administered by Dr. Babar Iqbal, has also opened at Turner Development Corporation’s Medical Park at Riverwalk, which is helping meet the need for modern medical office facilities in the region.

“The Medical Park at Riverwalk satisfies the region’s demand for quality medical offices in a growing area of more than 300,000 prospective patients, offering them advanced medical options and services,” said Rusty Turner, President of Turner Development. “The prime location near four area hospitals, Parkview Community Hospital, Corona Regional Medical Center, Riverside Community Hospital and Kaiser Permanente, as well as the development’s outstanding amenities, provide a solid foundation to open a new office or expand from an existing space.”

“Loma Linda University Health Care saw this as an excellent opportunity to bring the latest in high quality ophthalmology services to the residents of Riverside and the surrounding areas, allowing us to expand our client base in the region,” explained Dr. Garry Fitzgerald, vice president of business development at Loma Linda University Health Care.

According to Turner, Medical Park at Riverwalk’s campus-like setting includes a beautifully landscaped environment with trails, water features, promenades and outdoor seating areas, which provide a better working environment for physicians and their staffs, as well as a more appealing setting for patients.
Loma Linda University Health Care is located on the first floor of 4244 Riverwalk Parkway, part of Phase Two of the Medical Park at Riverwalk, which is comprised of two buildings totaling 72,000 square feet of medical office space.

The Riverside Regional Pain Center is located at 4234 Riverwalk Parkway in Suite 120, which is also part of Phase Two of the Medical Park at Riverwalk.

“The level of quality built into every detail of the state-of-the-art Medical Park at Riverwalk creates the ideal setting for my practice to grow and thrive,” explained Babar Iqbal, M.D. of Riverside Regional Pain Center. “Plus, having the flexibility to lease, purchase, or lease with an option to purchase at a later date allowed me to make the decision that was best for my practice.”

Phase One of Medical Park at Riverwalk, which is comprised of six buildings is 100-percent sold to a number of quality practices including Arthritis Center of Riverside, Inland Hospitalist Medical Group, Riverwalk Medical Associates, Dr. Tong Orthodontics and Riverwalk Dental Spa.

Medical Park at Riverwalk is located at 4234 and 4244 Riverwalk Parkway within Turner Riverwalk, a one million square-foot master planned business park.
