132-ROOM HAMPTON INN & SUITES BREAKS GROUND AT TURNER DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION’S TURNER RIVERWALK
• Sun Development and Management Corporation was selected as the hotel developer
• Carl’s Jr. Opens at Turner Riverwalk, Adding New Restaurant Amenity
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (May 4, 2009) — The 132-room Hampton Inn & Suites has broken ground at Turner Development Corporation’s Turner Riverwalk, a one million square-foot master planned business park in Riverside, Calif.
Riverside Lodging Associates has purchased the 2.28 acres of land at Turner Riverwalk for the development of the Hampton Inn & Suites Hotel by Hilton. Sun Development and Management Corporation is the developer of the hotel.
The hotel will be situated next to the Medical Park at Riverwalk and adjacent to the Shops at Turner Riverwalk. Turner Riverwalk is a one million square-foot master planned business park comprised of 400,000 square feet of office space, 100,000 square feet of medical office space , 375,000 square feet of R&D and industrial space, and 125,000 square feet of retail including 11 restaurants and this 132-room hotel.

Completion of the hotel is scheduled for the first quarter of 2010. The Sun Development and Management Corporation’s portfolio includes a variety of established hospitality brands under the Hilton, Marriott, IHG and Choice brands throughout the United States and includes three Embassy Suites Hotels currently under construction in Ontario and Palmdale in Southern California, and at the Newark Airport in New Jersey.
Carl’s Jr. opened last month at The Shops at Riverwalk, which is also part of the Turner Riverwalk master planned development and in close proximity to the future 132-room Hampton Inn & Suites. This newly opened fast-casual restaurant offers another outstanding amenity for the future hotel guests, employees and visitors of Turner Riverwalk, as well as for the surrounding neighborhoods.
