More:
Timothy Telles, owner of Tribeca Destination Salon is dedicated to volunteerism and community service. Telles has been an integral part of the success of the Village of Hope salon, a full service, professional grade salon located at the Village of Hope which provides free haircuts, coloring and styling to formerly homeless residents working hard to rebuild their lives. The salon depends on the volunteer hours of talented stylists such as Telles who provide these services to help build confidence and prepare residents for job interviews. The salon is outfitted with professional equipment and product donated by Telles and other area stylists.
The Village of Hope at the former Tustin Marine Corps Air Station includes 192 beds, a child development center, playground, parent education center, vocational training classrooms, health care facility, donation warehouse, cafeteria with an outdoor dining center, and support offices. Residents here are considered “students” who participate in the Village of Hope’s two-year comprehensive program to overcome their personal obstacles and succeed in daily life, while keeping their families intact.
