VICTORIA GARDENS HIRES NEW DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Liles has extensive experience in the retail industry marketing arena

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., (June 11, 2008) – Victoria Gardens, the Inland Empire’s iconic lifestyle center situated in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., has hired Masa Liles as the new Marketing Director.

Liles has more than 20 years of marketing experience spanning a broad spectrum of disciplines including strategic planning, business development and brand marketing. Specializing in high-profile shopping and entertainment destinations, Liles has worked for an assortment of prestigious real estate developers throughout the country.

“Liles’ extensive experience in high-profile shopping and entertainment destinations for some of the nation’s top retail developers makes her a great addition to Victoria Gardens’ team,” explained Christine C. Pham, general manager at Victoria Gardens.  “She brings an exciting dynamic to the center and will be able to take Victoria Gardens to the next level within the industry.”

Before joining Victoria Gardens, Liles worked for Simon Property Group as the marketing director for Fashion Valley in San Diego, Calif.  Liles was then promoted to area director of business development for four Southern California properties.  Prior to working at Fashion Valley, Liles worked on grand openings including Hollywood & Highland, home of the Academy Award ceremonies, and Santana Row, an all-encompassing shopping and entertainment development in San Jose, Calif.  For several years, Liles was also the executive director of retail client relations and international development for AMC, Inc. formerly the country’s largest trade mart/trade show organization.

Liles has been awarded a MAXI award for her leading role in the creation of some of the shopping center industry’s first sponsorships including Cotton Inc.’s first-ever retail sales promotion. The MAXI Awards Program is an international marketing competition that recognizes excellence in shopping center marketing.
