WESTERN NATIONAL GROUP APPOINTS LAURA KHOURI PRESIDENT
OF WESTERN NATIONAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
IRVINE, Calif., (JUNE 16, 2010) – Multifamily industry veteran Laura Khouri has been appointed President of Western National Property Management, the property management arm of Western National Group, according to Michael K. Hayde, Chief Executive Officer of Western National Group.
As President, Khouri will lead a team of over 700 real estate professionals that currently manages more than 22,750 residential units within 155 communities located throughout California, Arizona and Utah. These multifamily communities include both third-party clients, as well as assets owned by Western National Group.
“Laura’s incredibly diverse skill-set, developed through her multiple positions in our firm during the last 25 years, will bring Western National Property Management to the next level. Laura will raise the bar on our long-standing record of providing value and service to property owners and residents in our communities,” Hayde noted.
Khouri joined Western National Group in 1985. Prior to assuming the position of President, she was President of Western National Group’s Multifamily Ancillary Group (MAG). Khouri also held the title of Senior Vice President for Western National Group, with responsibilities for all aspects of Human Resources, Training and Development, Risk Management and Investor Relations.
Khouri was recently elected to the Board of Directors for the California Apartment Association (CAA). She is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker, a licensed Insurance Agent/Broker in six states, an EPA Accredited Management Planner and Building Inspector for Asbestos, a Notary Public and is certified by the HR Certification Institute as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
Khouri is also active in community service, having served on the Steering Committee for the United Way’s Annual Real Estate and Building Industry Luncheon to raise $500,000 for the Keeping Kids on Track program in 2006. She currently serves as the Vice Chair and is Chairman-elect on the Board of Directors for Laura’s House, a charitable, nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention of domestic and family violence in Orange County and was the Fund Development Chair for the organization in 2007 and 2008. During her tenure, Khouri was directly responsible for raising more than $2 million. Additionally, she is President of the Board of Directors for The Prentice School, a non-profit school for dyslexic children.
