KIMERA RESTAURANT ANNOUNCES NEW SUMMER MENU

IRVINE, Calif., (July 29, 2008) - Kimera Restaurant, a pioneer in global fusion cuisine, has crafted a new summer menu to highlight the freshest ingredients of the season.

Located in Irvine, Calif., Kimera is known for its combination of fine-dining and art appreciation, not only due to the eye-catching presentation of the food itself but also because of the contemporary art on display, which creates a unique ambience. Kimera also changes its menu seasonally to give Paul Gstrein, Kimera’s highly accomplished executive chef, a chance to provide customers a sampling of each season’s most tantalizing flavors.

For the summer, Gstrein has combined lunch and dinner items into one menu for a light, refreshing array of delicious choices. Artfully presented, these delightful dishes showcase Gstrein’s international training both in quality cooking and in aesthetic arrangement. The food is complemented by an eclectic collection of cocktails, featuring everything from a Razmojito to Mango Twist champagne. As a treat to guests, on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., mojitos are available for $5 each in the lounge and on the cigar patio with its signature fire pit, This special and others makes Kimera Restaurant the perfect destination this summer for lunch, dinner or even just a drink.

Some of the new menu items for lunch and dinner include:
• Peppered seared Ahi tuna with cucumber, soy, ginger and wasabi
• Soba noodle salad with grilled beef, mango, tomato, avocado, soft herbs, peanuts and sticky soy
• Boneless pork rib rack chop with cremini mushrooms, soft polenta and white truffle essence
• Atlantic salmon, wasabi potatoes, baby bok choy and soy shiitake mushrooms

An extensive bar menu is also available, featuring certain food items for 50 percent off during Happy Hour. Some of these dishes include:
• Hong Kong style crab griddle cake with smoked chili aioli
• Roasted red beets with goat cheese, toasted walnuts, mini arugula and balsamic glaze
• Shrimp pizza with corn, jalapeno, tomato, red onion and cilantro

Kimera Restaurant is renowned for its exotic dishes, influenced by different foods from different regions all around the world, and also for its extensive wine and beverage collection. Kimera Restaurant is the latest addition to the “Dining As Art” collection and is open for lunch Monday through Friday and dinner Monday through Saturday. The restaurant features a lounge bar, featuring a cool mix of music nightly with a DJ Thursday through Saturday, a fully enclosed and heated bar patio, a dining room patio, a cigar patio and an upper level dining room for special events.
