VOIT REAL ESTATE SERVICES DIRECTS PURCHASE OF SAN DIEGO FACILITY FOR WORLDWIDE COSTUME COMPANY

• New firm to add 45 jobs in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif., (July 29, 2010)—Voit Real Estate Services, a member of CORFAC International, has directed the purchase of a 14,610 square-foot industrial property in Carlsbad, Calif.

Todd Holley, Vice President of Voit Real Estate Services’ San Diego office represented the buyer, Loker Avenue Realty, LLC, an affiliate of Rubie’s Costume Company of New York City, New York.

“With specific location and strict size and functionality requirements for the building, Voit Real Estate Services was able to accommodate Rubie’s Costume Company and provide them with a property that met all requirements, while also negotiating a low price of $1.65 million for a building in a prime location,” explained Todd Holley.

Rubie’s Costume Company, an industry leader in manufacturing and distributing makeup, costumes and accessories, currently has 20 locations throughout the world, including offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, France, Germany, Asia, and Canada.  Their products can be found in national retailers such as Wal-Mart, Target and Party City. 

Rubie’s will use this new facility to manufacture their products for distribution, according to Holley.

“The opening of this new manufacturing location will also contribute to available employment opportunities for San Diego County – approximately 45 jobs additional will be filled at this facility,” added Holley.

The property is located at 2711 Loker Avenue in Carlsbad, Calif., in between the 5 Freeway and the 15 Freeway.

The seller, 2711 Loker Avenue, was represented by Roger Carlson of CB Richard Ellis’ Carlsbad office.
